Wireless Chatter

Wireless Chatter is a brand new YouTube podcast, dedicated to providing listeners with an escape from the toils of day-to-day life and into AJ, Casey and Nye’s world of debates, laughter and intrigue. The client’s request was to create a modern identity for the podcast, including a trendy logo which attracted an audience of young adults and implied that there are three hosts behind the mic.

Crafted by combining a microphone and seven soundbars together, with the middle neon-coloured bars representing the three hosts, this icon was created for the podcast’s logo, and when used within the name can replace the letter ‘I’. Neon yellow has the ability to grab immediate attention and also its characteristics in colour psychology are happiness, creativity, originality and humour, representing both the podcast and its hosts, hence being chosen as the identity’s primary colour, alongside neon pink and neon blue!

I was especially drawn to this brief because it was issued during the Coronavirus pandemic, so a bit of laughter was desperately needed in those dark times. AJ, Casey and Nye were also a joy to work with as clients, as they all had an open mind for my design ideas, yet knew exactly what would and wouldn’t work for their podcast’s logo and identity.
