Hey, I’m Kate! I am a Graphic Designer based in the UK, and I graduated with a BA Honours degree from Hereford College of Arts - the only independent arts school in the Midlands.
Working remotely as a freelancer allows me to connect with businesses and individuals all over the world, so I’m open to any creative opportunities that come my way. I’m turning my creative experience into personalised services, designed to develop unique and meaningful outcomes for each client.
As well as freelancing, I am currently working full-time as a Digital Imaging Specialist at MandM, one of the UK's leading online fashion retailers.
I assist with editing, organising, and uploading fashion imagery to the website. I maintain quality and consistency across images, ensuring accurate product representation and alignment in lighting, colour, styling, and overall presentation. Using Photoshop and Lightroom, I retouch product images to brand standards, including colour correction, background clean-up, and cropping, as well as incorporating the use of AI tools for image enhancement.
Some key global brands our team has shot on-site, which I have then edited for website upload, include: Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's, Lacoste, New Balance, and Adidas.
Here's a before and after from an Adidas shoot in the studio. On the left, the original image; on the right, the final edit. The main focuses were cleaning up the background, adjusting the angle and lighting, and enhancing colours to highlight the model and accurately exhibit the apparel.
When shooting multipacks, I layer the individual items to give a complete view of the entire set. By fanning out the products, the buyer can clearly see every distinct colour and pattern in one clean, engaging composition, without it appearing visually overwhelming.
